Pieter Henket has always loved portrait photography. You can see this in his project Congo Tales which highlights beautiful and strong portraits of children of Odzala-Kokoua National Park located in the Congo Basin, but also, in his celebrities’ shots that perfectly resemble the popular culture of today. Casual and accidental they capture the essence of the society overwhelmed with late-stage Capitalism, however infused with carefree attitude and the sparkle of glam.
